A leading advertising company in Asia.
AdAsia is an international advertising conferences held by AFAA (Asian Federation of Advertising Associations. In 1958, the first AdAsia was initiated by President Hideo Yoshida of Dentsu Inc and held in Tokyo, Japan. Later on, it is held twice a year and hosted by member countries in Asia by turns. The theme is decided by host countries to carry out research into the issues of various cross-regional marketing communications. Participants are representatives of member countries with around 1500 to 1800 people in total.
Down the Memory Lane
Hosting Adasia is not new to Pakistan. In 1989 Pakistan played the perfect host and managed to pull off an event that is still talked about. The 16th Asian Advertising Congress held in Lahore in 1989 attended by over 800 leading advertising and media specialists from around the world and Pakistan, Adasia 89 was described as a most memorable event by both overseas visitors and Pakistanis.
It is after 30 years that Pakistan once again won the bid to host AdAsia 2019 in the heart of Pakistan – Lahore.

Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS)
Pakistan Advertisers Society collectively speaks for the common interest of the advertisers in Pakistan. Chartered in 1996, the prime objective of PAS is to ‘empower its members’ in dealing with the government, advertising agencies, media and other organizations integral to the advertising industry. It believes in promoting the spirit of mutual-support for mutual-benefit among its members.
Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA)
PBA has come in place to offer optimum advantage to all stakeholders of the media industry – Broadcast Houses, Ad Agencies, and Advertiser alike. Even though all the issues the industry is faced with are not common, all feel the impact in one way or other.
Along with being a system operated Clearance House making it imperative for the advertisers to pay their dues in stipulated time to avoid any inconvenience of disruption in telecast of their advertisements, it also provides protection to the Ad Agencies and Media Buying Houses against situations that could arise out of default of payments.
Besides, Pakistan Broadcasting Association is also involved in research studies so that our industry can make intelligent decisions.
International Advertising Association - Pakistan Chapter
Being established in 1938, International Advertising Association is a one-of-a-kind strategic partnership which champions the common interests of all the disciplines across the full spectrum of marketing communications - from advertisers to media companies to agencies to direct marketing firms - as well as individual practitioners. With an unprecedented international network in over 76 countries, IAA has over 3,000 individual members across corporate, marketing services, organizational and academic sectors – all involved in the branding, communications and marketing disciplines.
To ensure the vision and mission of IAA is followed in our South Asian region, the Pakistan chapter has been actively involved in activities and promotion of better marketing and advertising strategies within the region.
All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS)
The All Pakistan Newspapers Society is a premier body of newspapers publishers with the aim and means to watch over, protect, preserve and promote the rights and interests of the newspaper industry on matters directly or indirectly affecting their rights and interests. The APNS remains very active in handling the problems faced by its members vis-à-vis the provincial and central governments relating to advertisements, clearance of dues, taxes and duties and newsprint. It is a force to be reckoned with in the publishing and advertising world and laid down rules of conduct for member publications as well as the advertising agencies.
Lahore is the second largest metropolitan area in Pakistan and 14th most populous city in the world.
Lahore successively served as a regional capital of the empires of the Shahi kingdoms in the 11th century, the Ghaznavids in the 12th century, the Ghurid State in the 12th and 13th centuries and the Mughal Empire in the 16th century.
With its unsurpassed natural beauty, ancient history, architectural marvels, rich cultures and exotic food, Lahore is a brilliant blend of old and contemporary. Although Lahore may not be Pakistan’s capital city, it wins hands down as its cultural, intellectual and artistic hub.
